Triton Hollow Composite Decking Board Start Clip – Pack of 20
These composite decking boards use a hidden fixing system which hold the boards down and also spaces them uniformly. Boards must be supported with suitable timber from beneath at a maximum of 400mm centres. Clips should be fitted on every joist, so allow 13 clips per 5m board, and 8 clips per 3m board purchased. Failure to fit with these guidelines will invalidate any warranty claim.
These starter clips are used on one edge of the first board, for example, up against a house external wall, and then the first board is pushed in perpendicular to them. After this intermediate clips are used which hold a board each side and also provide an equal spaced gap.
